I’m Katharine Abel Smith and I’m a freelance filmmaker.

I started filming weddings while I was engaged and finding it hard to find a wedding filmmaker who would fit discreetly into the day, capture all the authentic, unposed moments, and make a non-cheesy wedding film.

I’d worked as a TV producer for nine years and wanted to see my wedding day as it actually was. I wanted to see my friends and family smile and laugh, see their hilarious dance moves, and hear their chatter and laughter. So that’s what I focus on - the authentic, unposed moments.

I put my heart and soul into every wedding I film and make each film fully bespoke to the couple and to the wedding.
